Product Manager · B2B SaaS · Onboarding and pricing
Product manager for B2B software that finance and operations teams have to live in. Six years turning vague sales requests into shipped scope — mostly onboarding, billing, and the report a VP actually opens. Most recently at Northline, on activation and the pricing change that followed.
- Cut time-to-first-value from 18 days to 11 by replacing a 42-step implementation checklist with a role-based setup.
- Owned the Q3 billing redesign. Invoice tickets fell 37% the quarter after launch, and finance stopped reconciling seats in a spreadsheet.
- Wrote the PRD and ran the weekly review with six engineers and two designers for a usage-based pricing test that added $1.4M ARR.
- Sat on thirty customer calls a quarter and kept a decision log so sales stopped reopening the same edge cases.
- Partnered with support, solutions, and two design contractors across a nine-week discovery that included ride-alongs in three customer offices, a teardown of every onboarding email sent in 2023, and a rewrite of the empty states new workspace admins saw in their first session.
- Shipped the manager check-in used by 8,000 teams. Weekly completion moved from 22% to 61% after the form went from twelve prompts to four.
- Rewrote the enterprise onboarding playbook with solutions so the statement of work and the product described the same setup.
- Killed an engagement-score widget after three interviews showed managers didn’t trust the number. The squad shipped notification controls the next month.
- Took CSV import from a support workaround to a documented flow. Failed imports dropped by half once the error named the column.
- Wrote the release notes support had been asking for, in the language customers used on the ticket.
- Joined product events to Salesforce stage so the team could see which accounts stalled before the second invoice.
Thesis on how mid-market firms choose billing software.
