Sample warehouse associate resume for Luis Herrera, a fictional person, in the Starter layout. The names, employers and numbers are invented.

What to put in the summary

Keep it to two lines: what you do (picking, loading, forklift), how fast and accurate, and your availability. Hiring managers want reliability, equipment certifications and safety record. Put certificates near the top.

Warehouse associate with three years in a distribution centre, certified on sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks. Picks 150 lines an hour at 99.5% accuracy, with a clean safety record. Available for early and weekend shifts.

Example summary, written for a fictional warehouse associate.

Sample bullets with numbers

Rates, accuracy, equipment and safety are the facts. Include shift flexibility if it applies.

  • Picked and packed an average of 150 lines an hour with 99.5% accuracy, among the top five pickers on a team of 40.
  • Operated sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks, loading and unloading about 30 trailers a week.
  • Completed three years with no recordable safety incidents and was named safety champion for the shift in 2024.
  • Cross-trained in receiving, putaway and cycle counting, covering absences without overtime.
  • Spotted a mislabelled pallet of 600 units before shipment and helped correct the records.
  • Trained five new associates in scanner use and pick paths during their first week.

These numbers are invented to show the shape of a good bullet. Use your own, and leave a number out rather than guess.

Warehouse Associate resume questions

Do I need forklift certification before applying?

Not always. Many employers train and certify on site. If you hold it, put it at the top; if not, say you are willing to certify.

How do I show reliability?

Use attendance, tenure and cross-training. “Three years, no unplanned absences” is a strong, honest line if it is true.
