Who it suits
Editorial is for people whose work is easier to explain in a sentence than a fragment: writers, consultants, teachers, designers, and senior people who want a page that reads like a short profile. The serif type and open spacing give your bullets room, and the header can carry a larger photo if you want one.
How the layout works
- A large serif name with your headline and contact line beneath it.
- No rules under headings, so the page reads as paragraphs and short lists.
- Room for a larger photo at the top right, off by default.
- One column in the order you set, in a serif and sans mix.
ATS notes
Editorial is a single column with no tables or text boxes, so it reads in order. It is tagged Creative on Folio because of its style, not because of how it is built. Use clear headings and keep the contact line as plain text.
When to pick something else
Your page is mostly a dense list of short technical bullets, where rules and tighter spacing help the eye. Choose Modern or Classic.
Tips for filling it in
- Write in full sentences for your top two roles and keep older roles to a line or two.
- Use the larger name for a short name; a long one wraps in this layout.
- Pick the serif font pair so the page feels deliberate, not like a default.
Editorial template questions
Who should use Editorial?
Anyone whose strongest evidence is a well-described piece of work: a writer, teacher, consultant or designer. If your strongest evidence is a list of tools and metrics, a rule-based layout is easier to scan.
Does the serif font cause problems?
No. The PDF contains real text, and serif fonts are as readable to software as sans ones. Choose a size that stays legible when printed.
