Modern is the single-column layout for people who want a page that feels current without risking how it reads. A header bar carries your name, small icons mark your contact details, and short accent rules sit under the headings. It suits technology, marketing, product, finance and operations roles at any level.

ATS notes
Modern is labelled ATS-safe: one column, real text, no tables or text boxes. The contact icons are decorative and the text beside them is ordinary text, so nothing depends on the icons being read.
When to pick something else
You want a very traditional page for law, academia or government. Classic, Ledger or Academic suit those better.
Tips for filling it in
- Switch the contact icons off if your contact line is long.
- Keep the summary to three lines; the header already takes space.
- Choose an accent that is dark enough to print well in greyscale.
Modern template questions
What is the difference between Modern and Classic?
Both are single-column and ATS-safe. Classic has full-width rules and a traditional feel; Modern has a header bar, short rules and contact icons. Pick the tone that matches the employer.
Do the icons hurt parsing?
They should not. They sit beside the text and the text remains plain. If you are worried, turn the icons off in the editor.
